PTU Happy Spring Tut

This tutorial was written in PSP Xl but can be done

in any version. This was written assuming you have

working knowledge of PSP. Any resemblance is

purely coincidental.

My tutorials are only meant as a guide.

Plugins: Eye Candy 4000 Xero Porcelain (Settings in

tut)

Drop Shadow throughout is 2, 2, 80, 4.00 Black.

DS is Drop Shadow

C/P is Copy and Paste

On to the Tut!!

* Open up S4U_Template_04. Shift D to Duplicate.

Close original. Hide the background layer.

* Delete Info Layer (Credits Layer), and the next 4

wordart layers.

* Highlight Left circle layer. Selections, select all,

float, defloat. C/P paper 11 as a new layer. Selections,

invert, delete, select none. Delete original. DS.

* Highlight Right circle layer. Selections, select all,

float, defloat. C/P paper 11 as a new layer. Selections,

invert, delete, select none. Delete original. DS.

* Highlight Dotted Circle layer. DS.

* Highlight Rectangle layer. Selections, select all, float,

defloat. C/P paper 7 as a new layer. Resize 30%.

Selections, invert, delete, select none. Delete original.

DS.

* Highlight Oval layer. Selections, select all, float,

defloat. C/P paper 3 as a new layer. Selections,

invert, delete, select none. Delete original. DS.

* Highlight Dotted Oval layer. DS.

*Copy and place your tube of choice where you

want it. Resize if needed. DS.

*Copy and paste whatever elements you choose.

Resize if needed. DS. I used the following elements:

-Bow 5
-Big Smile Disc
-Flower 2
-Butterfly 2
-Birdhouse 1
-Chick 1
-Ladybird 3
-Worm

All elements except the Bow 5, Big smile disc, and

worm were duplicated and mirrored.

* Unhide and Highlight your background layer. New

raster layer. Selections, select all. C/P paper 9 into

selection. Select none. Layers, load mask from disk.

Apply WSL_Mask 84. Layers, merge group, move to

the left. Duplicate, merge down. Move this up.

Duplicate, image, flip. Move this down a bit. Merge

the 2 mask layers. Image, resize 90%.

* Hide the background and mask layers. Layers,

merge visible. Resize 90%. Unhide mask layer, layers,

merge visible.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

* Effects, plugins, xero, porcelain 40, 40, 0, 0, 100, 0,

0, 0. Ok. Adjust sharpness, sharpen once again.

* Crop if desired. I did..

* Resize all layers checked to 600 x 500 or desired

size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It

makes the copyright clearer.

* Add your name, copyright info.,  proper license # (if

needed), and watermark.

* Merge visible and save as PNG file. Keep

background hidden if you want to save as with a

transparent background.

On to the Tut!!

* Open up a New Image (File, new) 600 x 600 transparent checked. You can resize later. Flood fill white.

* Highlight Raster 1 layer. New raster layer. Selections, select all. C/P paper 8 into selection. Selections, select none. Layers, load mask from disk. Apply WSL_Mask 59. Layers, merge group, right click on this layer in your layers palette, duplicate, merge down. DS.

* C/P Element 72 as a new layer. Resize 60%. Place to the left. DS.

* C/P Element 53 as a new layer. Resize 50%. Place to the left. DS.

* C/P Element 10 as a new layer. Resize 30%. Place to the left in front of the tombstone. DS.

* C/P Element 77 as a new layer. Place in the upper left of tag so the bats are on the moon. DS.

* C/P your tube of choice. Resize if needed and add a DS.

* C/P Element 38. Resize 60%. Place to the right of the tag by your tube. DS.

* C/P Element 29. Resize 80%. Place to your liking. DS. Drag this layer down so it's below Raster 3 layer (Tombstone)

* Hide Raster 1 layer. Layers, merge visible. 

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

* Add any other elements you wish. Resize as needed and DS.

* Effects, plugins, xero, porcelain 40, 40, 0, 0, 100, 0, 0, 0. Ok. Adjust sharpness, sharpen once again.

* Crop if desired.

* Resize all layers checked to 550 x 550 or desired size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It makes the copyright clearer.

* Add your name, copyright info., proper license # (if needed), and watermark.

* Merge visible and save as PNG file. If you want a transparent background, leave Raster 1 layer hidden.

FTU Country Girl Blues 2 pc Forum Set

Supplies Needed:

Font of Choice.

Tube of your choice - I am using the awesome artwork of © Jose Cano. You need a license to use his work, please do not use his work without a proper license. You can get it  Here.

Filters:  Xero Porcelain. Settings in tut.

Drop Shadow (DS) throughout is 1, 1, 80, 2.00 Black.

On to the Tut!!

* Open up a New Image 600 x 250.

* Selection, select all. Copy and paste paper 19 into selection. Select none. Apply Tramages, Tow the Line with the following settings: Control 0 = 80, Control 1 = 54, Control 2 = 48 and Control 3 = 9. Ok.

* C/P Horseshoe 1. Resize 40%.  Place on the left. Duplicate, Image, mirror. Merge these 2 layers. DS.

* Highlight background layer. C/P Leaves 3 as a new layer. Resize 40%. See my tag for placement. Duplicate, Image, mirror. Merge these 2 layers. DS.

*Add any other elements you wish and DS. I used the cactus, brown flowers around the horseshoes, and whip.

* Copy and paste your main tube of choice. Resize and arrange to your liking.  DS.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

* Merge visible.

*  Effects, plugins, Xero Porcelain 40, 40, 0, 0, 100, 0,0, 0. Ok. Adjust sharpness, sharpen.

* Image, add borders. Color #494f62 . Symmetric checked.  Size in pixels 5.

*Repeat the above step but use Color #744731.

*Repeat the first step.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen if needed.

* Resize all layers checked to 600 x 250 or desired size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It makes the copyright clearer.

* Add your name, copyright info.,  proper license # (if needed), and watermark.

* Save as PNG file.

*Save. Do not close out.

***For the Avatar***

*New transparent image 150 x 200. Selections, select all.

*Activate your banner. Using your crop tool. Free form size it to 150x200. You can see the size you have in the numbers after the = in parenthesis. Once you have the size. Place where you want it. Apply. Edit, cut, and paste into selection. Go back to the banner, edit, undo cut and close your banner.

* Image, add borders. Color #494f62. Symmetric checked.  Size in pixels 3.

*Repeat the above step but use Color #744731.

*Repeat the first step.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen if needed.

* Resize all layers checked to 150 x 200 or desired size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It makes the copyright clearer.

PTU Fairies Magic Garden Tutorial

Supplies Needed:

Font of Choice.

Tube of your choice - I am using Fairy 6 tube included with the above scrap kit.

Mask: WSL_59 by Wee at Weescotslass Creations. You can get it Here.

Drop Shadow (DS) throughout is 1, 1, 80, 2.00 Black.

C/P is Copy and Paste

***On to the Tut!!***

* Open a new image 600x600 transparent. Flood fill white.  You can crop and resize later. 

*C/P Frame 1 as a new layer. Resize 30%. DS. Using your magic wand click inside the frame. Hold down the shift key and get all ares. Selections, modify, expand by 2. Keep selected.

*C/P Paper 1 as a new layer. Selections, invert, delete on your keyboard. Selsect none. Drag this layer below your frame.

*C/P grass as a new layer. Resize 15%. Duplicate so you have 4 layers. Place along the bottom of the frame. See my tag for reference. Merge these 4 layers. DS.

*C/P Lamp Post as a new layer. Resize 15%. Place to the left of the frame. See my tag for reference. DS.

*C/P Element 16 as a new layer. Resize 15%. Place on the bottom left of the frame. See my tag for reference. DS.

*C/P Element 2 a new later. Resize 15%. Place on the bottom right of frame.  DS.

*C/P Tube of choice as a new layer. I used Fairy 6. Resize 50%, then 80% x 2.  Place where you want. Image, mirror. DS.

*C/P frog as a new layer. Resize 10%.  Place on bottom left corner.  See my tag for reference. DS.

*C/P Rose 2 as a new layer. Resize 8%.  Place on bottom right corner. Duplicate, image, mirror and place next to the other rose. Merge these 2 layers. DS.

*C/P Rose 3 as a new layer. Resize 6%.  Place on bottom right corner. DS.

* Highlight your background layer. New raster layer. Selections, select all. Copy and paste paper 2 into selection. Select none. Layers, load mask from disk. Apply WSL_Mask 59.

*Hide Background. Layers, merge visible.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen. Then High Pass Sharpen. Radius 5.00, Strength 50.00. Blend Mode - Soft Light.

* Crop if desired.

* Resize all layers checked to 550 x 550 or desired size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It makes the copyright clearer.

* Add your name, copyright info.,  proper license # (if needed), and watermark.

* Merge visible and save as PNG file. Keep your background layer if you want to save it  with a transparent background.

FTU May Flowers Tutorial

* Using your magic wand, click inside the frames. Selections, Modify, Expand 2. C/P paper 4 as a new layer. Selections, invert, delete on your keyboard. Select none. Drag this layer below your frames.

* Highlight your bg layer. C/P Element 5 as a new layer. Duplicate, Image, mirror, image, flip. Merge these 2 layers. Resize 90%. DS.

* C/P Element 9 as a new layer. Resize 50%. Place where the 2 frames meet. DS.

*C/P Tube of choice as a new layer. Resize if needed and apply a DS.

*C/P Element 4 as a new layer. Resize 50% x2. Duplicate til you have a total of 3. Place where you want them. Merge these 3 layers. DS.

*Add any other elements you wish.

*Highlight bg layer. Add new raster layer. Selections, select all. C/P paper 3 into selection. Select none.  Layers, Load mask from disk. Apply WSL_84 mask. Layers, merge, merge group. Duplicate. Merge these 2 layers.

* Hide the background and mask layers . Layers, merge, merge visible. Resize 90%.  Unhide mask layer and resize 110%. Layers, merge, merge visible.

* Adjust, sharpness, sharpen.

* Crop if desired.

* Resize all layers checked to 550 x 550 or desired size. I always resize before adding the copyright. It makes the copyright clearer.

* Add your name, copyright info.,  proper license # (if needed), and watermark.

* Merge visible and save as PNG file. Keep background hidden if you want to save as with a transparent background.
